Our big boy is growing up!

At Christmas, this was my sweet child. He was innocent as can be and didn't cause any trouble for mom and dad...

Today... he's this crawling, drooling, climbing, babbling, spitting, monster! And we're loving every minute of it!!!! At his last check up, he topped out at 29 inches long and 21 lbs. At 10 months, he is right on track with crawling and walking along the furniture. He can stand up in the middle of the room without any help, but has only ventured to move a foot forward a time or two.

As my best friend Angie said, he won't be walking soon, he'll be running!!!

That's one big...

FISH!

Adam recently went on a canoe trip up in the Boundary Waters with his uncles, Scott and Tim, and his grandpa Koenig (Umpy). They would canoe ten miles, walk a couple (carrying all their stuff), then canoe some more. While it didn't sound like much of a vacation, they seemed to have a lot of fun. They sure did catch a lot of fish.

The big prize was this 31" walleye that Adam thinks should have a permanent place on our wall. I'm destined to have dead animals on the walls of my basement I think. Oh well, every man needs a man cave.

"Auntie" Krista's Wedding!

A few weeks ago, one of my best friends, Krista Sullivan (now Krista Allen) got married. As Brennan's first official wedding, we took lots of pictures. We even got a few pictures of our little family.

Can we say... teething??? For the record, he does have one tooth that has poked all the way through and two more on the way. Can you believe it?

Here is a pic of me and my girls! From the left: Bridget Bisek (soon to be Bridget Powell), Krista Allen (previously Krista Sullivan), and me!

Finally, a family picture of the three of us! We even got Brennan smiling!

A boy who loves the outdoors...

Whenever we get nice weather, Brennan, Mom, and Dad go outside for some fun. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing him discover grass and flowers...

Here are a few pictures from today's outdoor adventures:

On the Move...

7 Months and Crawling!

Here are the stats on our young buckaroo...

Age: 7 months 4 days
Weight: 18 lbs. 7 oz.
Height: 26 1/2 inches

Favorite Toys: John Deere Tractor and his Johnny Jump Up
Favorite Foods: Bananas, Sweet Potatoes, Pickles
Hobbies: Crawling around to follow Mommy and Daddy, playing with my toys, and trying to grab Maggie's ears

Updates: So our munchkin is getting to be a big boy. Each day he amazes us with something new. Last Wednesday marked the start of some hesitant crawling and by today, the boy follows us around like a puppy dog. He has also started with some basic finger foods and drools like a monster. In general, he's a great sleeper, but lately Mom and Dad have had some sleepless nights with our little man, as he has had an ongoing ear infection for two weeks now. He's on his second set of antibiotics, so hopefully he'll be able to kick it this time. It hasn't slowed him down one bit and with his ever present smile, you can hardly tell he's sick during the day. Nights are another story, but we should be seeing some improvement soon. Other than that little set back, Brennan is a constant source of joy for anyone he comes in contact with. We're always open to visiters, so give us a shout if you want to take a trip to good ole' Winona, Minnesota!
Here's some shots of our beautiful son!

And here's Brennan with his adorable cousin Brody... they may be twelve weeks apart, but Brody is as tall, if not taller, than Brennie.

My Chubster....

So our little monster is almost 6 months old and has officially acquired his share of baby fat. Between the muffin-top belly, the rubber-band wrists, and the thigh rolls, he's brings us pounds of joy each and every day!
He is doing a wonderful job of sitting up on his own and has started reaching for stuff around him... which usually leads to him holding himself up in a crawl-like position. He's just not sure what to do next!

When I think back to six months ago when I was not-so-patiently waiting for him to arrive, I could hardly believe how much I loved my unborn child. Now, half a year has gone by and my heart bursts when I think about how proud I am of this wonderful boy. Sometimes I put him in bed and just watch him breathe in and out and think of all the spectacular days to come. He is my whole world.
